Clearly there's a lot of love for the electric-era Miles, but even amongst those albums there is so much variety from one album to the next. I can't ever imagine a time when I'd get bored with a Miles Davis album.

So which one did you chose Sid? A man's preference in electric Miles speaks volumes!! Personally I would have gone for either Pangaea or Agharta (which I notice are peeking cheekly in the middle of the picture!)
Hi there Ian,
It was Great Expectations from the Big Fun album - a menacing, pulsing groove that's just irresistible. Of course, on another day it could've easy been Agharta or Dark Magus (the latter being a real fave).
agharta and pangaea race to the top any time i need a big old bass groove with tons of splashy cymbals and that never-in-my experience duplicated guitar work . . . oh and of course trumpet work beyond compare!!! steven
Hi Steven
It's a great sound on those albums. Love them to bits.
